Alexandre Camarão
Alexandre Camarão, who is a professor and artist, also came to us as a result the informal partnership with Córtex Frontal, in Arraiolos. He left the hustle and bustle of Lisbon, to fulfill his desire to learn and experience weaving, so that he could integrate it in his work, as a new form of expression.
Weaving was like diving into a warp and weft of threads, colors and textures, thoughts and sensations. An overwhelming, timeless pleasure, with the desire to always come back to the continuous and rhythmic movements of the loom, without stopping, in anticipation of the effect and the result, for the simple pleasure of creating.
